For the seventh year, we challenged all fourth grade students in Rochester to draw a brightly colored picture that displays: Why it is important to not litter How you will make Rochester A Litter Bit Better! There were 269 entries from 10 schools (20 classrooms) across Rochester. Once again neighbors rolled up their sleeves this fall and planted trees, celebrating the great green community-building national NeighborWoods month. Thanks to over 220 volunteers, this fall 275 trees have found homes in Rochester neighborhood boulevards. September 28, was a gorgeous fall day and over 175 Rochester neighbors came out to plant 200 boulevard trees in the Kutzky Park neighborhood.
