Fall 2015 Community Tree Planting

On September 28, 2013, neighbors and volunteers came out to plant 200 trees in the Kutzky Park neighborhood. We need your help to celebrate National NeighborWoods month and to add more community trees to this neighborhood. We’ll be planting 275 trees from 16th Avenue SE, S Village Drive SE and 8 ½ Street SE. Over 220 people came together to celebrate Rochester neighborhoods at the fourth annual OAKtoberfest, Friday, October 2, at Canadian Honker Events at Apache. Bob Nowicki, RNeighbors Past President opened the evening with a Prost (Cheers) to Rochester neighborhoods. A buffet style German meal was served, OAKtoberfest Neighbor Awards and the Mayor’s Urban Forestry Awards were given out (included below), and the Neighborhood Project Grants were recognized.
