Taryn Upmann

Personal Information

I’ve lived in Rochester my whole life and have been very active with the Rochester Art Center and to a lesser extent with Quarry Hill Nature Center.

I enjoy working with small children (1-3 graders you are the cooliest) and making them excited about the world around them.

I graduated with honors from John Marshall High School, and am currently attending the University of Minnesota Morris for my BA in Biology and a minor in English.

Favorite Tree

My favorite tree has got to be the Bur Oak.

In middle school I started exploring the wooded areas of Essex Park. Through every grassy nook and rocky dirt trail I traveled, it was always a dark twisty tree that I admired in the crowd.

Were I see RNeighbors five years from now  

I see RNeighbors continuing to grow in size and fostering the development of new neighborhood associations in areas with little communication between residents.
