ARTigras 2013

The Rochester Arts Council presents its 5rd Annual Free Arts and Cultural Festival in Mayo Park on Saturday, August 17st from 9 am to 6 pm, rain or shine!

There is something for everyone at this family friendly festival, with its ARTiStage, ARTiKids, ARTiVillage and Food Vendors in the Park!

ARTiStage (11:30 am to 6 pm)–
Located in the Amphitheater of Mayo Park, behind the Mayo Civic Center, this segment of ARTigras kicks off at 11:30 am and continues until 6 pm. Come prepared to be entertained by talented local performers ranging from singer-songwriters to dancers and all genre of musicians to please everyone’s love of music. Your host for the ARTiStage is Bob Sanborn.

Attendance is free and patrons will have every opportunity to meet the artists and purchase CDs as available.

Family entertainment featuring the ever-popular Steamroller Art (10 am -4 on pm),

Steamroller Prints
Lay down your design and watch an actual steamroller press out your prints! This popular activity is designed and created by Northfield based ArtOrg.

The Ordinary Becomes Extraordinary
Dr. Bob Kurland will be creating a variety of balloon characters and creatures for your enjoyment. See balloons become artworks before your eyes!

Plush Monster Adoptions
A Marnie Leach original designed softie creation. Each monster has hand stitched details and vintage button eye(s). They can be lovingly adopted for a fee ranging from $8.00 to $25.00.

Photo Booth and Monitor Screen
Come see what the creative minds at the Art Center have in store!

Tree Activities
Jay Maier and his team from Maier Forest and Tree will provide interactive, fun activities for children involving Mayo Park’s lovely trees.

ARTiVillage (10 am to 6 pm)
Over 100 juried artisans mix with Rochester’s arts and cultural organizations in Mayo Park- featuring artist demonstrations, and one of a kind handmade art work for sale.
