Planting trees along streets maximizes the benefits we receive from the city-wide tree canopy. Through the teamwork of RNeighborWoods since 2004, we have utilized 7,452 volunteers to plant 8,231 boulevard trees. These trees provide multiple ecological and other public benefits including reducing Rochester’s carbon footprint. Rochester’s urban forest includes 41,177 public trees on neighborhood boulevards and parks.
