"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I extend my deep gratitude to Greg for his dedicated leadership and service to Quarry Hill Nature Center,” says Kim Otte, Chair of the Friends of Quarry Hill Nature Center Board of Directors. “Greg leaves Quarry Hill in a position of strength, with the strongest staff and programming we have ever had. We thank and honor Greg for his years of service to Quarry Hill.”
The Friends of Quarry Hill Nature Center Board of Directors will initiate a search process, with the goal of identifying a permanent executive director by year-end. Pamela Meyer will assume the role of interim director for Quarry Hill Nature Center when Mr. Munson retires.
Currently a Teacher/Naturalist at Quarry Hill, Ms. Meyer has diverse experience working in nature and science centers across the United States, including the LA County Outdoor School of Science in Malibu, California; Springbrook Nature Center in Fridley, Minn.; the Massachusetts Audubon’s Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary in Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.; and the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, Minn.
“Pam understands nature centers, Quarry Hill and our mission,” says Ms. Otte. “She has played a key role in Quarry Hill programming, public relations and board activities, and we are excited about the leadership skills she brings to this interim role.”
