Prairie Walls Rock Climbing

Enjoy rock climbing? Never tried before? This is a great place for both beginners and experienced climbers. With 10,000+ square feet of highly featured climbing walls with dihedrals, aretes, stepped overhangs, an awesome slab and lead roofs you won’t ever be left bored.

A day pass to climb is $13. You can get a better rate if you buy a punch card or monthly pass, however those will cost 60 dollars or more upfront.

Tastes Like Paint

The Rochester Art Center offers a free teen art studio every Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30. They participate in a variety of activities, from the discussion of contemporary artists’ practices to the production of unique artworks.  Their mission is to continue building a community of young artists that believe in the importance of contemporary art to inspire and engage people.

Outdoor Skate Park

Park and Recreation maintains this skate park which is located conveniently in Silver Lake Park, west of the pool,
840 7th Street NE along the Zumbro River Bike trail. The location has modular skatewave ramps which are 3 feet and under and a concrete section that is 4 feet and under.

Midwest Skate Shop and Skate Park

Midwest skate shop is one indoor skate park that you can visit. With ramps painted by students from the Rochester Art Center, and concerts held year round it is a hot spot to hang out at. Prices can vary, and month long memberships are more expensive.

Couples Night at Chateau Theaters

Grab your someone special and head to CineMagic each Wednesday for couples night! Anyone that buys two adult tickets for the same show will get child ticket prices ALL DAY long, plus you will receive a coupon for a Magic Combo for only $7.50! That’s 2 tickets, 2 large drinks, and 1 large popcorn which are all refillable for only $20.00!

Rochester Youth Orchestra

Enjoy classical music without the big ticket prices? Well go enjoy a concert put on by a select group of your peers! Comprised of Rochester students grades 8-12, the Rochester Youth Orchestra can be a fun group to watch.  Concerts are seperated into two sections:

November and May Concerts: $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors
March Side-by-Side with the RPO Concert: $12 for adults, $8 for students and seniors
