Welcome to the Historic Southwest Neighborhood Association (HSNA) website. In 2005 the association was formed out of a need to address and resolve issues impacting our neighborhood that could not easily or successfully be done by any one individual. This has become especially true in an ever-growing, ever-changing Rochester.
Our primary charter is to preserve the old neighborhood feeling that comes from being as old as the city itself. The HSNA comprises single-family houses, condominiums, apartments, small businesses, churches, Soldiers Field Memorial Park, St. Marys Park, the YMCA, and a part of downtown Rochester that includes portions of Mayo Clinic.
HSNA Mission
To preserve and enhance our neighborhood, promote community, and unite our residents through a common voice.
Boundaries

Meetings
The HSNA holds monthly GENERAL MEETINGS on the second Thursday of each month (except in December and unless otherwise notified). The topics addressed are of interest and importance to the neighborhood, and some of them directly affect the well-being of the neighborhood. Our “neighborhood beat” police officers make every effort to attend our meetings with safety updates. All General Meetings are held at Zumbro Lutheran Church at 7 PM in the Fireside Room. An announcement of these meetings or any change goes out via a neighborhood association distribution list. If you’re not on this list, please email your name and contact information to news@hswna.org In addition, BOARD MEETINGS are held as necessary to discuss issues and to plan for the General Meetings. Best of all, we have one neighborhood picnic a year, generally in the late summer or early fall.
