City of Rochester Development Services Redesign

“On Monday, April 4, a resolution was passed with a 7-0 vote at the Rochester City Council meeting to create a task force to review the current development permitting process and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process. It passed so smoothly, that if one did not know its background, they might not realize its significance.” Read the entire story on the Rochester Area Chamber’s website.

Do you have input on Rochester’s current development permitting process? Now you have the opportunity to make your opinion heard by sending your input to this email.

The purpose in establishing this email account is to provide citizens, especially those who use the development and permitting process, with the opportunity to communicate their thoughts to the Development and Permitting Task Force regarding the group’s task. Task Force members definitely want to hear from the public as part of this process.

Guidelines
1. No anonymous comments will be accepted.
2. Those who respond will be asked to suggest what can be done to make the process better.

Depending on the number of emails received, every effort will be made to acknowledge each email. However, without adherence to the above two guidelines, the concern will not be addressed. The Task Force is looking for ways to improve the development and permitting process, and this is an important continuous improvement step. As time allows, comments will be discussed either separately or as part of another item that the Task Force is already considering.
