Minnesota Veterans and EMS Museum

Minnesota Veterans and EMS Museum

The Eastside Pioneers Neighborhood Association would like to invite you to our Thursday, November 10 neighborhood meeting. This is the day before Veterans Day. In light of that we thought we would dedicate our neighborhood meeting to honoring our Veterans, our police officers, our firefighters, etc., those that have put their lives on the line to keep us safe, to protect our way of life. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Joseph Adamson.

We invited Mr. Joe Adamson to come to our meeting to talk about the proposed Minnesota Veterans and EMS Museum (MVESM) in Rochester. The MVESM is being established to “Honor the men, women, and institutions that protect our way of life and to preserve their histories.” Minnesota Veterans and Emergency Services Museum is a state wide museum serving 390,570 living Minnesota veterans, 10,991 peace officers, and 20,500 fire fighters, as well as Rochester’s residents and nearly 2.75 million annual visitors.
The Minnesota Veterans and EMS Museum is a living museum; the displays are just a backdrop to their goal of collecting the stories of veterans, police, fire, and institutions that are slowly being forgotten. Their exhibits and interactive displays allow visitors of all ages to learn more about the legacy and heritage of individuals who protect our way of life.

If you would like to hear more about this project or if you have questions about it be sure to join us on Thursday night, November 10, 7:00 PM at the City of Life Outreach Center, 804 East Center Street.
