OAKtoberfest 2013

OAKtoberfest 2013

At what other event can you spend time with neighbors, eat sausage, learn about stellar neighbors working on cool initiatives, get your picture taken as a German yodeler, compete for a beer boot, enjoy the tunes of Six Mile Grove, and all for the great cause of Rochester neighborhoods?

It’s RNeighbors second annual OAKtoberfest! On October 4, 150 people attended our fest that was sponsored by City Auto Glass. Check out the event program for the assortment of raffle items that focused on trees or beer.

Fall decorations, creative German dishes, beverages, and the tunes (including polkas) of Six Mile Grove were unique and added to the festive feel of the event. Over and over during the evening guests commented that the event reflected the nature of fun and neighborliness that is RNeighbors.

Emcees Tracy McCray and Megan Kennedy did an impressive job of narrating the event, making sure all of the pieces of the program were shared. The Neighbor Awards were an important highlight of the festivities.
