Tom Smiley is an arboriculture teacher, trainer and researcher for the world renowned F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company.
Tom has been a national and international leader in the development of hazardous tree risk assessments. He serves as a technical advisor to the American National Standards Institute A300 Committee in the preparation of the Standards for Tree Care Operations. He is Chair of the ISA Best Management Practices Committee, a member of the Arborist Certification Test Committee, is the Past President of the Southern Chapter of the ISA and winner of the ISA Authors Citation.
