Slatterly Park Neighborhoods CUDE Award Winner

Congratulations to Slatterly Park Neighborhood Association on receiving several Rochester’s Committee on Urban Design and Development‘s annual awards.

Art in the Avenue is a annual event that will be awarded the Community Site Enhancement Award, given to any project which through exemplary design features and/or quality of construction is made into public amenities.
The Riverside Boulevard Gardens will be awarded the Landscaping Award for exceptional landscape design. Included in the boulevard gardens is a series of sculptures by artist Cheryl Fitzgerald, including the flowers at the Hawthorne Literacy Center (photo with Slatterly Park tree planters).

Both projects will be formally recognized on March 20th. A thank you goes out to all of the neighborhood volunteers that made this happen!
