Summer 2023 Community Engagement Intern

This summer intern position will be shared between the Office of the Mayor and RNeighbors and will focus primarily on community engagement. The intern will be working at times with supervision from RNeighbors or the Office of the Mayor on location, at times solo remotely, as well as at public events. Approximate time commitment is 10 hours per week, at times can be remote work but a majority of it will be at or preparing for public events. Events this position will help organize or be an active participant in include Chalk the Block Festival, Safe City Nights, and Thursdays on First.

Skills Needed

Organization, communication, computer knowledge of programs such as Google Docs, strategic thinking to complete tasks such as chalk distribution, event coordination, and flexibility when plans change.  There will be some equipment lifting required. Transportation is ideal, but not required.

Stipend = $1,200
$15 hour / 10 hours per week / 2 months (mid June-mid August)
