Unlicensced Alarm System Company

The Penacle Alarm Company from Utah is going door to door and being very forceful in changing alarm systems.  THEY DO NOT HAVE A PEDDLERS PERMIT. Make sure you are aware of who your speaking with if approached to protect yourself against incidents like the one described below.

They just changed a system for an 86 year old woman by misrepresenting themselves.  “We are here to change out your alarm system”  she thought they were ADT and giving her upgrades but instead disconnected her alarm system and converted to theirs …charging her more per month than with ADT.

On another note, another alarm system company, APX alarm system, just turned in their paperwork to the City Clerk’s Office today to go door to door, and will also be going door to door.
