One group working together has a stronger impact than many separate voices.

Mission

RNeighbors empowers citizen leaders to create sustainable neighborhood networks that promote a vibrant, healthy, and livable community.

Vision

RNeighbors works toward a future in Rochester when community life is rooted in neighborhood networks that nurture citizen involvement for positive community change.

Our Purpose

RNeighbors is a nonprofit organization that encourages, supports, and provides tools to volunteers interested in participating and having a collective voice in their neighborhood and community by forming a neighborhood association. We believe that neighborhood associations are the heart of neighborhood activities in Rochester.

RNeighbors strongly advises registered associations to elect a board that will speak and represent the views and goals of the neighborhood.

RNeighbors does not take a stand for or against individual neighborhood efforts and is not responsible for the means that these groups choose to accomplish their vision. Each group registered with RNeighbors is asked to uphold the Neighborhood Association Guidelines and expectations that will assist these volunteers groups in their ongoing community improvement efforts.
