    Salt, sand and snow plows give our street murals quite a beating during tough Minnesotan winters. But have no fear, we’re ready to help neighborhoods spruce up their street murals. Everyone is welcome to these street mural paintings, each start at 9 am unless specified. Just wear your painting clothes and we’ll provide everything else!   • Creative Crosswalks – Prototyping Festival
    Thursday, September 15, 9 am-noon RNeighbors was one of 16 prototyping proposals chosen to participate in the upcoming Placemaking Prototyping Festival. We were awarded a grant to paint “Creative Crosswalks” across 1st Avenue downtown to help bring art to a barren space and emphasize safe crosswalk space for the one of the most heavily used pedestrian areas in downtown Rochester.   • RColorful Corners 2014 Update
    In the summer of 2014, RColorful Corners repainted 2 street murals with the help of over 90 volunteers that dedicated 270 hours of time! These events brightened the streets of Rochester and brought together members of the different neighborhoods and partnering organizations. We thank Sherwin Williams for selling the street paint to us at a contract price.   • RColorful Corners 2013 Update
    In the summer of 2013, RColorful Corners repainted 4 street murals with the help of over 175 volunteers that dedicated 525 hours of time! These events brightened the streets of Rochester and brought together members of the different neighborhoods and partnering organizations. We thank Sherwin Williams for selling the street paint to us at a contract price and for the downtown Rotary Clubs donation to help us purchase paint brushes and supplies.   • RColorful Corners Paints a Tree of Knowledge
    A brand new mural now graces the streets of a NE Rochester neighborhood. The Tree of Knowledge street mural was finaly painted after a month of sweltering humidity and storms that caused the paint date to be postponed several times until August 14. Thankfully neighbors and volunteers alike braved the heat throughout the day and brought this mural to life.   • Adding Some Color to Rochester Neighborhoods

  • Historic Southwest Mural Painting 2010
    After days of rain, RNeighbors and volunteers from the Historic Southwest neighborhood could not have been happier to see the sun shining on the morning of June 16.  With all of our ducks (and paintbrushes) in a row and weather finally permitting, the re-painting of the Historical Southwest Funky Flower mural at 7th Street SW and 7th Avenue SW was a colorful success.   • 2010 Slatterly Park Mural Painting
    Early Saturday, May 22, RNeighbors prepared for the Slatterly Park neighborhood to come out and re-paint the existing street mural at 5th Avenue and 7th Street.  And come out to help they did, from Slatterly and across Rochester.   • SMIF Awards Paint to RNeighbors
    Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation  Awards Free Paint Throughout Southern Minnesota  For the 13th year, Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) awarded free paint to local organizations through their annual ‘Picture It Painted’ (PIP) program.  This year approximately $13,500 worth of free paint is helping to beautify communities across the 20-county region.  PIP, a partnership between SMIF and Valspar Corporation, is designed to support collaborative community beautification and

    This summer, we will work with one deserving neighborhood to create a new street mural. Tell us your story and make a case for why your neighborhood is deserving of this grant.   • Northrop Street Mural Gets a Boost of Color
    On Wednesday, August 12th, the Goose Egg mural near the Northrop building and Goose Egg park received a makeover thanks to neighborhood volunteers and Summer of Service Teams. Part of the volunteer team added a fresh coat of paint to the mural, while another group of SOS kids held a “carnival” (complete with face painting) in the park for neighborhood kids. Special thanks to the many volunteers, especially Summer of Service (SOS) youth, for making the repaint possible and to Robert,
